You've started your job search as a new graduate or someone transitioning from one industry to another. Where do you begin to search for a new career opportunity? The internet has become the Sunday classifieds, but used everyday of the week. The reason we started the job board option for CIMA was to separate employment options from any other searches that you might encounter on the local classifieds site. You register as a job seeker or employer, upload your résumé, and begin to use the site to see what options we have available in your industry. Our site is organized into industry specific job searching and is user friendly. Employers also search for industry specific résumés amongst the job seekers that match their employment advertisements. We have a featured job that is highlighted and we send out a weekly update regarding the article of the week, and new options for our résumé writing service. We were featured in Primera Hora as a résumé writing and job search provider targeting Puerto Rico job seekers and employers. You can also direct those moving to Puerto Rico and relocating to the United States to our site. We offer a 90 day free trial for employers with free registration as well as free registration to job seekers.

With thousands of sites all over the world targeting job seekers and employers, how do you know the difference between a job board, a search engine, and niche site? A job board is like www.cimapr.com, where we post employment opportunities from employers. The major job boards are, Monster, Hotjobs, and CareerBuilder. Job search engines will aggregate employment opportunities on all types of job boards, career sections of companies, newspaper advertisements, and professional associations that are on the internet. Sites such as Simplyhired.com and Indeed.com are the most popular job search engines. These sites also allow you to use a salary calculator to find out information about the position you might be pursuing. A niche job site is industry and geographically specific. An Information Technology niche site is Dice.com. If you are interested in non-profit organizations, Idealist.org would be your site to peruse. There are job sites targeted to Hispanics in the United States such as Latpro.com. Even social sites such as Linkedin.com have their employment section powered by Simplyhired.com.

You should register on the major job sites, local, and industry specific sites with alerts emailed to you at least once a week. Diversify your job search and don't rely solely on the internet for opportunities. Search your national and regional newspapers during the week and weekend. Network with people that may have leads on employment opportunities at their companies. Job search is easier when you know what you are looking for and when you have a company like CIMA Services pointing you in the right direction.

"I have to thank CIMA for their services; the design and format of the resumes are excellent. They presented information, that I thought was non-important, in a way that it added a new value to my resume. The professionalism and commitment from CIMA was remarkable."
